PROMOTIONAL
recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. There is currently ONE positions open in the Information Technology Department. This is an 8 hour/day, 12 month position. Under general guidance, performs a variety of technical and resource services in the installation, operation, diagnosis, and repair of computer systems including personal computers, servers, and networks; assists users with training for applications software; and assists in performance of analytical studies of data processing procedures, systems, and organizational structures. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this classification would typically be acquired through graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate, preferably supplemented by course work in computer science and microcomputer hardware and software applications; two years of increasingly responsible microcomputer experience; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Knowledge of Principles of computer technology including LAN software/hardware configuration. Basic systems analysis, principles and practices. Basic troubleshooting and problem isolation techniques. Ability to Read, understand, and apply general instructions and related technical information. Learn and effectively use hardware and software specific to District needs. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
