$18.00 to $21.00 per hourPOSITION SUMMARY
The Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Centers Box Office Staff is an integral part of the Box Office team. This part-time position assists patrons in a variety of ticket transactions, fields customer questions or complaints, handles credit card and cash transactions, and works within our ticketing and database management software programs. The Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Theatre and Front Row Theatre are part of the City of San Ramon and managed by VenueTech Management Group.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Cash handling. Maintaining excellent customer service for all in-person and phone sales. Operating the ticketing software program for sales transactions. Database management. Preparing deposits and reconciling daily reports.MARGINAL DUTIES
Ensure Box Office public-facing spaces are tidy and organized; coordinate with operations staff on specific needs. Interface with Theatre Manager on special needs or concerns.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate evenings and weekends. General box office duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Previous ticketing experience preferred. Working knowledge of Windows-based PC programs. Knowledge of performing arts industry a plus.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License. Able to pass a background check and TB test. Sexual Harassment Training provided and must be completed - certificate will be issued upon completion. First Aid/CPR a plus.PSYCHOLOGICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB

Paying attention to detail. Employee spends 1/3 to 2/3 of the total time: Retrieving phone messages and returning customer inquiry phone calls. Coordinating with other box office staff on shift priorities. Employee spends up to 1/3 of the total time: Interacting with Front of House staff during events, providing trouble holds and VIP guest tickets. Coordinating with concessions team in cash in/cash out process.PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is: Regularly (2/3 or more total time) required to: Sit on an office chair up to six hours per day. Use hands to finger handle or feel objects, and controls, such as those on telephones and computers. Talk and hear in person, on the telephone, and through the Box Office window system. Reach with hands and arms, grasp objects, push/pull file drawers of 10 to 50 pounds, twist the upper body, rotate the wrist, and use finger dexterity writing and using the computer. Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 total time) required to: Kneel to file. Squat to file. Occasionally (up to 1/3 total time) required to: Lift 10 to 20 pounds from floor to desk or top of file cabinet and carry for a distance of 10 to 40 feet. Bend to file or retrieve an item from the floor or in a drawer. Stand for several minutes at a time for up to several hours per day. Walk the distance from office through lobby up to several times per day. Climb stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT
