Position Overview We are hiring a Cabinet Assembler / Woodshop Technician to join our production team in Wanchese, NC. This role is hands-on in the shop, focused on assembling custom cabinetry, supporting production, and maintaining the high standards our brand is built on. This is a great opportunity for someone with woodworking experience or someone motivated to learn a skilled trade in a professional shop environment. What You'll Do Assemble custom cabinets and millwork to specification Read and follow shop drawings, cut lists, and instructions Assist with cutting, sanding, fitting, and prep work Support finishing, hardware prep, and install staging Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Work with team members to solve problems and keep production moving Assist with loading, deliveries, and install prep when needed What We're Looking For Experience in cabinetry, woodworking, carpentry, or shop work preferred (not required) Ability to read a tape measure and follow detailed instructions Strong attention to detail — this is precision work Comfortable using hand tools and power tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet throughout the day Reliable, positive attitude, and willingness to learn Takes pride in quality work and being part of a strong team Why Join Island Woodcrafts Work in a high-end custom shop — no repetitive production line work Learn real craftsmanship and build skills that matter Strong team environment with clear expectations Opportunity for growth as skills develop Be part of a company that values quality, efficiency, and doing things right Compensation & Benefits Full-time position Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance Paid time off Work Location Wanchese, NC (Outer Banks) —
