Job Description

Clearwater Custom Cabinets is hiring! At Clearwater Custom Cabinets, our customer-focused and highly experienced team is consistently recognized on job sites for our diligence, cleanliness, professionalism, and exceptional craftsmanship. We believe work should be enjoyable — we strive to make working with us both rewarding and fun! Position Summary Cabinet Makers will create custom woodwork for commercial, residential, institutional, and retail projects. The Cabinet Maker will use a combination of traditional hand tools and precision machinery to bring decorative and functional woodwork to life. The Cabinet Makers will fabricate and install trim, molding, cabinetry and shelves and specialize in designing, building, and installing custom-made cabinets and furniture. The Cabinet Maker will be highly trained in various types of wood, tools, and machinery to create functional and aesthetically pleasing pieces for customers. Key Responsibilities Cut, shape, sand, and stain wood for assembly. Assemble and install cabinet components with glue/clamps, dowels, screws, nails, and any other tools and materials as needed. Read and interpret various drawing sets and other spec sheets. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean shop environment and work to ensure safety protocols and best practices are being followed. Meet all project deadlines. Maintain all equipment in working condition and reporting any faulty equipment to the shop manager. Request any needed items to the department leader and/or shop manager.
Required Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required Vocational school for woodworking or previous apprenticeship preferred
Experience:
 1-2 years of experience in cabinetmaking or carpentry or willing to learn Technical skills: ability to understand design schematics Strong attention to detail and taking pride in completed pieces Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Key Skills & Competencies Problem-solving Time management Communication Attention to detail Team collaboration Ability to function in a fast-paced environment Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in manufacturing setting with exposure to loud noise, various smells, and bright lights. Frequent exposure to wood dust from sawing, sanding, and planning. Use of adhesives, varnishes, lacquers, and stains that may contain formeldehyde, toluene, or xylene. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
