Cable & Soldering Assembly Operative - New Jersey

Role and Responsibilities:

The Cable Assembly Operative works in our busy cable department SOLDERING, assembling data, and power cables to a high standard of quality that is used mostly in live events such as concert tours and festivals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Carry out the cable assembly process, including soldering, as instructed by following printed assembly instruction documents Carry out custom labeling of cable assembly products as instructed by supervisor and by following printed custom label instruction documents Carry out quality control of cable assemblies following written instructional documents Adhere to safety standards by practicing safe working processes Keep work station neat and tidy and maintain tools/equipment properly Advise Cable Lead of any broken, incomplete parts, as well as inconsistencies/safety hazards. Transport connectors and cables from warehouse to assembly area Get familiar with repeat TMB customers and specifics required on their orders Stack/organize completed cable assemblies per work order or sales order Test all cables and place individual tested labels on "main" cables Skills/Requirements MUST know how to SOLDER cables Good working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, basic connectivity issues (female to male electrical connections) and assembly concepts Soldering skills Cable assembly experience Electrical assembly experience Electronic assembly experience Experience working with electrical connectors, cable, or wires Familiarity with the use of hand tools - especially electrical hand tools (wire cutters, wire strippers, connector crimp tools etc) Good hand eye coordination skills Ability to follow written assembly instructions Attention to fine detail essential
