• Full-time About the Role This opportunity is with a growing civil engineering firm that specializes in water and wastewater infrastructure for municipal and public-sector clients.

As project demand continues to increase, the firm is expanding its CAD team to better support engineers and accelerate project delivery. This hire will play a key role in reducing engineering drafting workload and helping deliver civil utility plans more efficiently. This is more than a "just drafting" role. The CAD Designer is a hands-on contributor who works closely with engineers to take projects from early markups through complete, construction-ready plan sets. This role is open to experienced CAD Designers who are looking to build a long-term career in civil engineering. The level of responsibility and compensation will align with experience. What You'll Do Produce and modify civil utility plan sets , including: Water distribution lines Sanitary sewer systems Pump stations and wells Supporting exhibits, report figures, and permit drawings Work from engineer sketches and redlines while also solving design and drafting challenges independently Support layout and coordination tasks such as: Coordinating with surveyors and incorporating survey data Reviewing project constraints (roads, existing utilities, easements) Assisting with practical utility alignments and plan layouts Apply common utility design standards, including: Minimum sewer slopes Manhole placement and elevations Municipal plan conventions and standards Collaborate closely with engineers—engineers review and stamp drawings, but you help push plans to completion Tools & Software AutoCAD (Autodesk)
