Cafe/Kitchen located in South Lake Tahoe has the following opening: Cafe/Kitchen Manager - Monday-Thursday 10:00a-8:00p We offer Competitive Pay Health Plan 401K Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Time Paid Sick Leave Meals Rewarding and fun environment! Qualifications Ability to manage a team of 6-10 crew members in a professional manner. Must be able to cook Specials and Caterings. Ex. Chicken Parmigiana, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Tri-tip, Butternut Squash & Spinach Lasagna, etc. Ability to make espresso beverages or willingness to quickly learn Must have relevant food-service experience. Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively. Must be able to communicate in English with customers. Position Responsibilities Prepare and serve food/beverages to guests and run POS Substitute for or assist other employees during emergencies or rush periods. Must follow all safety rules and actively prevent accidents. Commitment to excellent service and ethics! Delegate tasks to team Effectively communicate Prepare and deliver caterings Prepare Chef Specials, Standing menu, Catering Menu items, etc. Essential Skills and Experience Must be able to correctly and safely use standard service equipment. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Must comply with all ServSafe principles - will train. Job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Employee must be able to work on their feet 8.0 hour per day excluding breaks.
