Camp Warren in Eveleth, MN is seeking a Seasonal Camp Cook to support our camp operations from May through August 2026. This role plays a key part in delivering quality food service within a rustic, mission-driven summer camp environment. The ideal candidate Must be at 18 years or older and obtain a ServSafe certification. Rustic on-site housing is available if needed. The salary for this position starts at $17.00 - $20.00 hourly. We take into consideration an individuals background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status. 1.Job Summary:
The Cook prepares healthy and nutritious meals for participants. The incumbent maintains appropriate health standards and adequate food supply levels. The incumbent may provide work direction to kitchen staff and dishwashers as needed. 2.Essential Functions:

Relationships:
This position reports to the Food Service Manager or Executive Director or Program Director depending on location. The incumbent regularly interacts with participants, general public, staff, and volunteers. The incumbent provides work direction to kitchen staff and dishwashers, as needed. 4.Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum age of 18Minimum of one (1) year of experience in food preparationProcess or ability to obtain Food Safe Certification by the county Public Health Department.Upon hire, completion of YMCA provided First Aid and CPR certification.

Preferred:

Work Conditions:
Requires lifting up to 50 poundsRequires ability to safely operate all necessary kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies. (The incumbent utilizes equipment which can be potentially dangerous to include knives, ovens, meat slicers, mixers, broilers, and cleaning chemicals)Ability to stand for long periods of time 6.Additional Notes:
