Service Assistant

Summary Enhances the customers' positive service experience by checking them in for service and providing courtesy rides while service is being performed on their vehicles. Moves and cleans vehicles, ensures the vehicles are in sound working condition, and helps service department as requested. Essential Duties

• Greets all guests in the service drive with a friendly and upbeat attitude.
• Determines if the guest has an appointment and records their name, VIN, tag number, mileage and performs a walkaround of the guest's vehicle.
• Confirms correct name, address, and telephone number.
• Verifies email address for Ford Pass Rewards. Offers enrollment in Ford Pass Rewards.
• Confirms the reason for the guest's appointment, listens to their concerns, and documents the repair order accordingly.
• Obtains the guest's signature on the repair order upon check-in and provides an estimated completion time.
• Offers courtesy rides and/or escorts the guest to the lounge.
• Drives guests' vehicles to/from their homes or workplaces.
• Drives guests' vehicles to/from the service drive, shop, and parking lot as needed.
• Controls service traffic flow and parking.
• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
• Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas, locked with keys marked and stored properly.
• Maintains a clean and safe service drive area and customer entrances, free of dirt, water, snow, and ice. Sweeps, vacuums, shovels, and de-ices daily and throughout the day as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned. Education and Experience
• High school graduate, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with guests, technicians, and advisors.
• Auto and/or customer service experience preferred. Requirements
• Maintains a clean, professional appearance.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk most of the day.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
