Job Description

Position Summary The Campground Manager serves as the senior on-site representative of the Campground during the summer season. In addition to performing the duties of a Campground Host, the Campground Manager provides evening and quiet-hour oversight, supports coordination of Host staff, and serves as the primary point of contact for after-hours concerns. This role helps ensure consistent enforcement of campground policies and smooth day-to-day operations. This position does have the option of a complementary Campground Manager RV Site if selected. Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Coordination Provide guidance and support to Campground Hosts. Ensure consistent enforcement of campground policies. Communicate daily updates and concerns to the Facilities Manager. Quiet Hours & Evening Oversight Conduct quiet-hour monitoring. Address disturbances professionally and diplomatically. Escalate issues to appropriate authorities when necessary. Maintain incident documentation. Guest Services & Administration Assist with check-ins, payments, and recordkeeping. Oversee daily payment reconciliation processes. Ensure campground information and signage are current. On-Site Presence Maintain reasonable availability during overnight hours for urgent concerns. Serve as an additional visible presence within the campground. Qualifications Prior campground, hospitality, supervisory, or event experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills. Comfortable exercising authority professionally and fairly. Highly reliable and self-motivated. Ability to work flexible hours during peak season and Fair week. Physical & Work Environment Primarily outdoor work. Ability to walk the campground regularly during shifts. Exposure to varying weather conditions. Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds. Light custodial duties required. Authority & Safety Campground Hosts and Managers do not serve as law enforcement and are not expected to intervene in unsafe situations. Hosts and Managers are responsible for observing, documenting, and escalating concerns to the appropriate authority or supervisor.

Benefits:
Flexible schedule Paid time off Application Question(s): While we strive to minimize overtime, this position may require working more than 40 hours in a week and/or more than 8 hours in a day during the Fair season (June through mid-August). Overtime is paid in accordance with state and federal law. Are you willing and able to meet this requirement if selected?
