This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver expert nursing care in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment focused on cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. As a vital member of our team, you will provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after complex cardiac interventions, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient safety. Your expertise will contribute to innovative treatment plans, including advanced procedures like electrophysiology studies and device implantations, all while fostering a compassionate and energetic approach to patient care. Duties Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures by performing assessments, explaining procedures, and ensuring informed consent. Assist physicians during complex interventions such as cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and ablation therapies. Monitor patient vital signs continuously using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system like SIS, documenting all clinical observations accurately. Administer medications including IV infusions, sedation, and medications for acute pain management following strict aseptic techniques. Manage post-procedure care by assessing patient recovery, managing complications, and providing detailed discharge instructions. Operate specialized equipment such as fluoroscopy units for real-time imaging during procedures and maintain sterile environments through proper sterile processing techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Experience Proven experience in cardiac catheterization labs or electrophysiology units with a strong understanding of cardiac physiology and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable to handle acute situations effectively. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as SIS for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Hands-on experience with invasive procedures including Cardiac Catherizations amd Electrophysiology procedures. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterile processing standards to maintain patient safety during high-risk procedures. Experience working with diverse patient populations including those with developmental disabilities or in long-term care environments like assisted living or nursing homes is advantageous. Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, medication administration, airway management, and specimen collection efficiently.
