Position Overview Working closely with the HEART Program and Career Engagement, the successful candidate will assist in the delivery and oversight of a comprehensive career exploration and coaching program that builds collaborative efforts across campus and that provides high-quality career education to the Texas A&M University-Kingsville community. Under direction, plans, organizes, implements and maintains participant data for academic success and career exploration activities in targeted STEM majors consistent with the goals and objectives of the HEART Project. Advises prospective and current students during all stages of career engagement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administrative Operations & Program Coordination Manage daily program operations, establishing efficient procedures and workflows to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. Oversee departmental processes and customer service standards; monitor compliance and implement continuous process improvements. Coordinate and execute meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, and special events to support program objectives. Maintain effective communication with campus and external partners through regular meetings, updates, and collaboration efforts. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student employees, peer mentors, and program support staff. Program Delivery & Student Engagement Provide individualized career advising to prospective and current students, including career exploration, goal setting, and job search strategies. Deliver coaching using CliftonStrengths and other career development tools to support student growth and informed decision-making. Design and facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions that build career readiness, leadership skills, and professional competencies. Develop and maintain student-focused and stakeholder-facing materials that promote program services and engagement opportunities. Collaborate with faculty to integrate career development competencies into academic curricula, assignments, and co-curricular activities. Stay current on labor market trends, employer needs, and occupational data to ensure relevant and impactful advising and programming. Assessment, Reporting & Strategic Initiatives Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans, goals, and evaluation metrics for career engagement initiatives. Maintain accurate participant data and track program outcomes to support reporting requirements and continuous improvement efforts. Prepare operational reports, program summaries, and presentations for internal leadership and external stakeholders. Conduct research and contribute to the development of grant applications, white papers, and program proposals. Texas A&M University-Kingsville will not pay this fee.
