Job Description:
As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead independent and fulfilling lives. Your role will involve offering support in daily activities, ensuring their safety, promoting community involvement, and fostering skill development. You will make a difference by encouraging independence and creating a secure, positive environment for those you serve.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create a secure, supportive environment to meet the unique needs of clients. Assist clients with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, exercise, communication, and socialization. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, working as a personal advocate. Facilitate client participation in community activities and promote their social inclusion. Help with light housekeeping duties and meal preparation. Assist clients in setting personal goals, tracking progress, and ensuring they achieve their full potential. Drive clients to appointments, meetings, and events as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and follow company procedures for health, safety, and reporting. Comply with facility policies and maintain a clean and tidy environment for the clients. Participate in ongoing training and education to improve your skills and certifications. Foster an encouraging, patient, and compassionate environment for clients at all times.
Physical Requirements:
Caregivers spend a lot of time walking and moving about. They must have sufficient strength to turn, lift, and assist patients with movement. Certification /
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (required). CPR, and First Aid certification (required).. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and good driving record (preferred).
Qualifications:
Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to build meaningful relationships with clients. Stamina and physical fitness to assist clients with various daily activities. Proactive, observant, and detail-oriented.
Work Schedule:
