Caregiver

This is more than a caregiving position — it's a in-home opportunity to provide comfort, stability, and meaningful one-on-one support to someone who depends on consistent, compassionate care each day. We are seeking a dependable, patient, and attentive caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a male in-home client living with an anoxic brain injury. This role is ideal for someone who values connection, communication, and providing thoughtful care at a calm and supportive pace. Responsibilities Provide full assistance with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, repositioning, and transfers Reposition client every 1-2 hours to maintain comfort and pressure relief Monitor comfort closely and respond to changes in positioning, mood, or behavior Support routines with patience, consistency, and attentiveness Provide companionship and engage positively throughout the shift Communication & Behavioral Support Allow extra time for processing and communication Use calm, simple communication and gentle redirection Provide reassurance during moments of frustration, anxiety, agitation, or OCD-related behaviors Learn and respond to the client's unique communication style over time Qualifications Compassionate, patient, and dependable Comfortable providing hands-on total care throughout the shift Able to remain calm and supportive in challenging moments Observant and attentive to subtle changes in comfort or behavior Willing to build a long-term caregiving relationship Physical Requirements Ability to assist with weight-bearing support, transfers, and repositioning Client has limited use of arms and hands and requires full physical assistance What Success Looks Like The client feels safe, calm, and supported throughout the shift Care is delivered in a steady, unhurried manner Needs are anticipated before frustration increases A stable, reassuring environment is maintained This role requires both physical support and emotional awareness. It is best suited for someone who takes pride in providing thoughtful, relationship-centered care and making a meaningful difference in someone's daily life. Must be able to pass a background check and meet company hiring requirements.

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
