Carpenter/Laborer

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from framing and trim carpentry to restoration and remodeling. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for executing various carpentry tasks, assisting with construction site activities, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools to complete framing, siding, cabinetry, and fixture installation projects. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Assist with demolition, restoration, water damage remediation, mold remediation, and general remodeling activities. Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely for tasks such as heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, or fabrication processes. Prepare surfaces through sanding, plastering, caulking, painting to ensure quality finishes. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with schematics for electrical or mechanical systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Skills Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) essential for daily tasks. Experience reading blueprints and schematics accurately to guide construction activities. Knowledge of various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and woodworking. Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material needs and project planning. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique. Skilled in using CNC machinery or fabrication tools is a plus for custom projects. Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay:

$24.77 - $29.83 per hour
