Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing essential physical therapy services to students during an engaging summer contract opportunity. Work in a supportive educational environment where your expertise encourages growth and achievement for children and adolescents. Your knowledge of therapeutic interventions within a school setting will be highly valued as you help students overcome physical barriers to learning and development. This short-term role offers the chance to integrate into dynamic school teams and make a difference in students' daily lives.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist license in Georgia, or eligibility to obtain before the start date Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred Solid grasp of school-based PT best practices, including developing and implementing IEP-driven interventions Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt interventions to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' physical capabilities and develop personalized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs Deliver direct and consultative therapy services within assigned school settings Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Train school staff and families on activities and modifications to support students' mobility and safety
