of Shawnee County recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers who advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Our work ensures children's voices are heard in court and that decisions are made in their best interests. Every Advocate Supervisor plays a critical role in helping children find safety, stability, and permanent homes. The Role The CASA Advocate Supervisor provides direct supervision, guidance, and support to volunteer advocates assigned to court cases. This role ensures high‑quality advocacy for children by overseeing case management, supporting volunteers, and collaborating with courts and partner agencies. The Advocate Supervisor also serves as a trusted representative of CASA's mission in the community. What You'll Do Supervise and support volunteer advocates assigned to child welfare cases Manage cases from referral through closure, ensuring compliance with all CASA standards Review and file court reports, attend hearings, and track court dates Support and coach volunteers through regular contact, preparation, and feedback Maintain accurate case and volunteer records in Optima Coordinate advocate assignments and prepare court appointment documentation Collaborate with courts, DCF, schools, and community partners Assist with volunteer training, recruitment, and retention efforts Participate in program meetings, committees, outreach, and fundraising activities What We're Looking For At least 21 years of age Bachelor's degree in social services, criminal justice, education, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience with child welfare systems, foster care, juvenile court, or CASA preferred Experience supervising staff or volunteers Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional report writing Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to cultural humility and working respectfully with diverse populations Availability for some evening and weekend hours Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance Successful completion of background screenings Why You'll Love Working Here Make a direct impact on children's lives every day Mission‑driven nonprofit culture grounded in integrity and compassion Meaningful relationships with volunteers, families, and community partners Supportive team environment that values collaboration and professional growth Purpose‑centered work that aligns your skills with lasting change Equal Opportunity Employer CASA of Shawnee County, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and values a diverse and inclusive workplace.
