Cashier

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team! Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and efficiently Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance sales opportunities Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to maintain an attractive store environment Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Requirements Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery store environments Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving correct change, and managing retail math calculations Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team Bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving a diverse customer base Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for creating positive shopping experiences
