Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service through active communication and friendly demeanor Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled Support inventory management through stock checks and assisting with inventory counts Uphold store policies on phone etiquette and customer privacy while managing customer interactions both in person and over the phone Skills Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions Previous supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the cashier team Ability to conduct product demos confidently and effectively promote store merchandise Bilingual skills to serve diverse customer needs are highly valued Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members alike Strong customer service orientation with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail career in a lively environment.
