Cashier/Barista

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cashier/Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about coffee culture, possess excellent customer service skills, and have a keen attention to detail. As a Cashier/Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately. Operate the Square POS system for processing transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies. Handle cash transactions responsibly while ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and assist where needed. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices in a café setting. Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in food service or retail is a plus but not mandatory. A genuine desire to help customers with their beverage choices and provide an enjoyable café experience.
