Sales Associate Description:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Floater Cashier to work approximately 3-4 days a week, covering shifts at our North Brookfield and Southbridge locations. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working in different store settings.

Available Shifts:

Afternoon shifts 2 PM

• 8 PM or 2 PM
• 11 PM Closing shifts 6 PM
• 11 PM Weekends shifts Weekday shifts shifts ranging from 2 PM
• 8 PM or 12 PM
• 8 PM This schedule totals 30 or more hours per week.

Flexibility to work additional shifts and at both locations is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Calculate the cost of products or services. Accept various payment methods (cash, credit, debit). Calculate and return change accurately. Maintain adequate change in cash drawers and request additional change as needed. Answer customer questions about products and services knowledgeably. Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts. Report any equipment issues promptly. Collaborate with the team to achieve store sales goals. Handle customer complaints with professionalism and empathy. Process layaways, returns, and exchanges according to company policy. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Assist in stocking and rotating merchandise. Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently. Stay informed about current merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information.

Qualifications:

Excellent customer service skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently. Basic math skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work at both the North Brookfield and Southbridge locations. Availability to work the listed shifts and additional shifts as needed. Prior retail or cashier experience preferred, but not required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
