Job Description

The Region's Only Feline Exclusive Veterinary Hospital! At The Cat Doctor of Dover, feline care is never one-size-fits-all. As a cat-only practice, we provide compassionate, individualized medical, surgical, and dental care, along with client education and end-of-life support. Located in Dover, NH, we're seeking a part-time or full-time Certified or experienced Veterinary Technician who loves cats and is committed to exceptional care. I'd never go anywhere else." - Google client review Thoughtfully designed with cats in mind, our practice features dedicated spaces for treatment, surgery, diagnostics, hospitalization, boarding, and an accessible waiting area—creating a calm, low-stress experience for cats and their people. We intentionally see fewer patients/day so we can provide capable, compassionate care while avoiding team burnout. We support ongoing CE, professional growth, and we truly value work-life balance—lunch breaks are sacred, and we typically leave on time! As a Veterinary Technician with The Cat Doctor of Dover, you will be responsible for: Possessing a diploma in Veterinary Technology and maintaining current licensure (required) And/or bringing a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience (required) Applying AAFP Cat Friendly and/or Fear Free handling techniques (required) Performing dental prophylaxis, anesthesia monitoring, and pain management with confidence and precision Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography Ensuring compliance with DEA and OSHA standards and practice protocols Navigating practice management software, medical records, and Microsoft Suite with proficiency Providing compassionate, professional client service and education strong organizational abilities, time management, and sharp attention to detail "My only regret is not taking my cats here when we first got them!" - Google client review Dover, NH is the fastest-growing city in the state, offering a vibrant community with great shops, restaurants, parks, museums, and events.
