Job Description

Catering Manager Riviera Palm Springs Salary:
$80,000 - $90,000 per year The Opportunity Riviera Palm Springs is seeking a polished and confident Catering Manager to lead sales and service efforts for all catering business, including weddings, social celebrations, nonprofit events, and catering group business. As we undergo a luxury transformation, you will play a key role in positioning the resort as a premier destination, helping clients envision our elevated future through sophisticated storytelling and high-touch service.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Client Management:
Lead the client journey from initial inquiry through event execution. Respond to all leads with refinement, warmth, and urgency.
Business Development:
Proactively cultivate new opportunities through strategic prospecting and networking within the Palm Springs wedding and social community.
Venue Promotion:
Sell and service the resort's catering offerings, including our additional garden event space.
Brand Ambassadorship:
Represent the Riviera at top wedding shows and bridal salons; manage luxury digital channels including WeddingWire and The Knot .
Planning & Execution:
Curate bespoke site inspections using design renderings and future-state storytelling. Partner with Culinary, Banquets, and Operations to ensure seamless event delivery.
Systems & Reporting:
Manage all CRM activity in Delphi , including BEO preparation, floorplans, and revenue forecasting.
Required Qualifications Experience:
3-5 years of progressive experience in catering/wedding sales or hotel catering management, preferably in a luxury resort environment.
Market Knowledge:
Established relationships within the Palm Springs wedding and catering community.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Delphi and Microsoft Office is required.
Repositioning Expertise:
Experience in luxury storytelling or selling through renovation/transformation periods is highly preferred.
Education/Credentials:
Valid driver's license and compliance with employment eligibility standards.
Schedule & Skills Flexible Schedule:
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and regular Saturdays to accommodate site tours and event execution.
Soft Skills:
Ability to provide a consultative sales approach while remaining calm and polished in a fast-paced environment.
Detail Oriented:
Strong organizational skills regarding banquet event orders (BEOs) and cross-functional communication.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
