Start Date:
8/10/2026 - 26/27 School Year As a School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This role involves implementing therapy plans, conducting screenings, and collaborating with teachers and parents to support student success.Key Responsibilities:
Therapy Implementation:
Provide speech and language therapy services to students as outlined by the supervising SLP, following individualized education plans (IEPs).Screenings:
Assist in the administration of speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments.Data Collection:
Collect and document student performance data and progress towards therapy goals.Support Services:
Assist with the development and implementation of classroom activities to support speech and language development.Resource Preparation:
Prepare and organize therapy materials and resources.Communication:
Maintain effective communication with the supervising SLP, teachers, parents, and other school staff regarding student progress and needs.Compliance:
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as district policies and procedures related to speech and language services.Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field. Bachelor's degree in communication sciences and Disorders preferred.Licensure/Certification:
Current SLPA license/certification in the state of practice, if applicable.Experience:
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a team, strong organizational skills, proficiency in data collection and documentation.Other Requirements:
