Job Description

Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Catering Sales Manager is a motivated, self-starting professional with proven experience in luxury resort catering, wedding, banquet, and group sales. This role is responsible for generating revenue through strategic sales efforts, relationship development, and exceptional client service while ensuring successful event execution and guest satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Sales Manager or Catering Sales experience within a luxury resort or destination hospitality market Strong background in catering, banquet, wedding, and group sales Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue goals and maximize profitability Experience developing corporate, association, incentive, social, and group business Strong knowledge of web-based sales and networking strategies Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Professional, resilient, flexible, and team-oriented mindset Ability to travel moderately as needed Essential Responsibilities Generate catering, wedding, banquet, and group sales revenue to meet or exceed annual goals Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, event organizers, and community partners Manage all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting, site tours, proposals, contract negotiation, and event detailing Collaborate with culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure successful event execution and exceptional guest experiences Build strong working relationships across all resort departments Create strategies to increase catering revenue, length of stay, and midweek business opportunities Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive sales efforts and networking Respond to inquiries promptly while maintaining high service standards Participate in trade shows, industry events, sales missions, and client meetings Monitor market trends and competitive activity to support strategic sales initiatives
