Luxury Short-Term Rental Cleaner (Subcontractor) Handsome Housekeeping - San Luis Obispo County Handsome Housekeeping is expanding, and we're looking to add 1-2 reliable subcontractors to support our growing portfolio of high-end short-term rentals across San Luis Obispo County. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail, and understands that presentation matters just as much as cleanliness . About the Role You'll be responsible for short-term rental turnovers between guest stays. These are not standard residential cleans — our homes are styled, guest-ready, and thoughtfully prepared for every arrival. This is a 1099 subcontractor position with flexible scheduling and consistent work. Responsibilities Perform full STR turnover cleanings (bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, living areas) Reset beds, towels, and soft goods to a photo-ready standard Light staging and presentation (pillows, throws, furniture alignment) Complete checklists and photo documentation via our preferred software Flag any damages, missing items, or maintenance concerns Maintain consistency across multiple properties What We're Looking For STR or hospitality cleaning experience preferred , though not required Strong attention to detail and time management Reliable transportation and punctuality Comfortable using a smartphone app for checklists/photos Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Professional, respectful, and trustworthy Requirements Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Must carry (or be willing to obtain) basic business liability insurance Must be available for daytime turnovers , including some weekends Must be willing to complete a background check - expense covered by Handsome Housekeeping LLC Compensation Per-job pay (flat rate) based on property size and scope Consistent work with opportunity for increased volume, especially as we expand No nights, no guest interaction, no sales Why Work With Handsome Housekeeping Design-forward, respectful work environment Clear expectations and organized systems Properties that are cared for — not chaotic Opportunity to grow with a boutique, locally owned company How to Apply Please apply through Indeed with: A brief introduction Relevant cleaning, design, or hospitality experience Availability (days of the week) Though we operate out of San Luis Obispo County, most of our work is located in North County - Paso Robles, Templeton, and San Miguel.
