CDL A or B driver/warehouse

Delivery Driver Class A or B CDL Hardware Imagination Tech /Wood Distributor.

Job Summary:

Driver will be based in our Roanoke branch, deliver / transfer merchandise to customer job sites or businesses in the SW Virginia area while adhering to all safety procedures. Load inventory on truck and unload at customer site.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have DOT card
• Must be twenty one years of age
• Must pass Drug Test (Drug Free Workplace)
• Must pass

Back Ground Check Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

• Experience as interstate driver a plus.
• Knowledge of Virginia a plus
• Perform routine pre-delivery and post-delivery inspection of vehicle and supplies to ensure road safety.
• Plan route to and from businesses and adjust for traffic and/or construction.
• Ensure that manifests are complete and accurate.
• Deliver merchandise to customer and contact customer if they are not present.
• Load truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unload merchandise.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and DOT procedures.
• Provide assistance to resolve customer issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional manner and appearance.
• Transport deliveries according to manifest in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company, procedures and applicable DOT regulations.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:

• CDL - Class B License -Operate vehicle with GVW over 26,000 pounds
• Proper licensing relative to equipment.
• Medical Card
• Forklift certification
