CDL Class A Driver

Job Overview:

We are a small family oriented company looking for energetic and enthusiastic drivers to join our fleet. We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL A truck driver to join our team. As a CDL A truck driver you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various job sites using different types of trailers including 48' and 53' flatbed and step-decks, these loads are typically strap and go. Typical work week is Sunday through Friday but the schedule can be adjusted based upon driver's needs or requirements. This is a vital role in our organization as you will ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Safely secure loads to trailers in preparation for transport, most loads will be strap and go, there may be occasional tarping required which is also an additional payment to the driver for the extra work required.
• Safe operation of trucks and equipment including pre-and post trips, safely securing all loads, and safely delivering all loads following customer and job site safety requirements.
• Time management is a must to ensure safe and on-time delivery of all loads
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Communication is a MUST, to ensure the upmost in customer satisfaction.
• Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, mileage records, and maintenance reports
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently

Skills:

• Valid CDL A driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a CDL A driver or similar role
• Ability to safely operate trucks and handle equipment to ensure longevity of the equipment
• Familiarity with load securement techniques, we will train and assist you in any way
• Excellent driving skills with the ability to navigate various road conditions
• Strong time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
• Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to lift heavy objects as required
• Proficient in completing necessary paperwork accurately
