Part-time Job Summary:

Rolling Hills is a family owned company looking for a full time driver to run a dedicated route 5 days a week. . The dedicated route starts at 3:45pm from Rustburg, VA and will be back in Rustburg at around 3am. This is NOT "No touch freight." The driver will be responsible for transporting used auto parts from Rustburg to Christiansburg to Greensboro and the reverse trip. This is a 1099 position. For tax purposes, I will rent the driver my truck and DOT number. So we will actually pay $2300 per week, but $1000 will come off for the rental, leaving you with the $1300 pay check. After a period of 8 weeks, the pay will be increased to $1400/week. It is roughly 440 miles a night, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate the truck and 53' trailer
• Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts.
• Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle inspections, and deliveries.
• Ability to load/unload cargo using proper securing and handling of freight.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick-ups, and any incidents or delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safe driving practices at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Pass drug screening
• Proven experience in operating commercial trucks or in a similar role
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures is a plus
• Ability to operate a forklift a plus
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Physical ability to lift doors and other assorted vehicle parts.
