CDL CLASS A DRIVER (Local Teamsters Union)

This is a 2nd Shift position.

The hours are:

3:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. (Paid OT when required after an 8-hour shift!) Arma Container Corp is the largest boutique manufacturer of corrugated packaging and displays in the five boroughs. We are looking for an experienced tractor trailer CDL Class A Driver to deliver to our customers as needed, as well as, occasionally assist as Yard Jockey. This 2nd Shift position is a Local Teamsters Union position. The hours are from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Paid OT After an 8 - Hour Shift when required. Responsibilities:

Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to our warehouse(s) and customer locations Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Back trailers to Loading Docks Maintains constant contact with supervisors for priorities •Attendance, Timeliness and Safe Operation are Critical•

CDL CLASS A LICENSE

Proven work experience as a driver At least, 2 Years Experience driving 53' Tractor Trailers At least, 2 Experience driving a 1-Seat Yardhorse tractor Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
