CDL Class A Driver - Tractor Trailer / Dump Trailer

Position Summary Iron City Express is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Tractor Trailer Driver to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of waste and recyclable materials while delivering exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to safety in all aspects of the job.

• Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate a tractor trailer in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Transport waste and recyclable materials to and from customer locations, transfer stations, and landfills using 50yd end dump and 100yd walking floor trailers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported safely
• Provide excellent customer service while representing Iron City Express in a professional manner
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Qualifications
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a tractor trailer
• Waste industry experience preferred but not required
• Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Frequent climbing in and out of the truck cab
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs as needed
• Extended periods of sitting, driving, and operating equipment
