CDL Class A Truck Driver

• The Truck Drivers' primary responsibility is to load and deliver our products in a safe and timely manner. During non- driving periods you will report to the Shop Forman for additional duties as needed. Long-distance and local driving
• Communicating and coordinating loads with managers
• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
• Maintaining a detailed log of working hours and fuel purchases in compliance with state and federal regulations, either using an ELD or paper logs.
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
• Reporting defects, accidents, and violations
• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
• Loading trucks with forklifts and\or overhead cranes
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner
• Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
• Maintain paperwork and follow procedures for cargo deliveries.
• Verifying loads for accuracy
• Assisting in the shop with other projects as needed
