CDL Driver - Class B

We are looking for an experienced, part-time truck driver to load and haul natural stone locally: stone blocks in a Western Star tri-axle dump truck pallets of stone in a Ford F-550 flat rack Responsibilities Transport blocks of stone and pallets of stone to and from various local quarry and mill locations in Rutland County, Vermont and Washington County, New York. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Report defects, accidents or violations Obtain a CDL medical card and comply with the Company's drug testing program Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Ability to safely drive a Western Star Tri-axle dump truck (18 speed) Ability to operate a wheel loader to load raw blocks of stone Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid CDL truck driving license
