Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and professional CDL Trainer to join our team. The CDL Trainer will be responsible for instructing and mentoring new and existing drivers in safe vehicle operation, regulatory compliance, and best practices for commercial driving. This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to safety and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel CDL instruction Train drivers on federal and state DOT regulations Evaluate driver performance and provide corrective coaching Ensure compliance with FMCSA safety standards Maintain accurate training records and documentation Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection training Support students in preparing for CDL written and skills exams Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability Qualifications Valid Class A CDL (With clean driving record) Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience Prior experience in driver training, coaching, or mentoring preferred Strong knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to work with individuals of varying skill levels High level of professionalism and reliability Work Environment Combination of classroom instruction and in-vehicle training May require early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends Travel within local/regional training areas as needed
