CDL Truck Driver

Title:

Truck Driver - Thomas Moore Feed, Navasota, Texas Thomas Moore Feed is seeking applicants for full-time positions for commercial truck drivers. Thomas Moore Feed is a manufacturer/wholesaler of complete feeds and supplements for all livestock and wildlife species, as well as wild bird seed. The business has a strong regional presence with distribution in Texas primarily.

Summary:

Drivers will be employed to operate the company's semi-trucks and trailers to deliver products. Drivers may also pick up ingredients or other raw materials to transport back to the mill. Delivery routes are primarily between Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas-Fort Worth and overnight travel up to 2 nights per week . Drivers will act as representatives of Thomas Moore Feed when delivering to customers. A positive attitude and helpful manner will therefore be expected. Working as a member of a team and good communication is important. This position will be full time. Base Pay will be between $55,000 - $75,000 per year depending on qualifications and experience. Qualifications Valid CDL (Class A or B, as required) Clean driving record Experience handling both deliveries and pickups preferred Familiarity with bulk material transport (preferred, but not required) Strong attention to detail and accountability Ability to operate delivery and loading equipment Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift and move products weighing 40-75 lbs on an occasional basis Ability to assist with loading/unloading activities, including handling bags, materials, and equipment as needed Ability to move and maneuver palletized loads (up to ~2,000 lbs) using equipment such as pallet jacks or similar tools Ability to operate bulk trailer mechanisms, including opening/closing heavy metal doors, gates, and discharge mechanisms (training provided) Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers multiple times per day Ability to work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, dust, uneven surfaces)
