CEMETERY CARETAKER

Job Summary Join our team as a Cemetery Caretaker and play a vital role in maintaining the dignity, beauty, and serenity of our cemetery grounds. This position involves performing grounds maintenance, and services related to burials and foundations for monuments. Duties Maintain cemetery grounds through landscaping and lawn care, to promote an attractive and respectful environment Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently for trimming, mowing, pruning, and service equipment. Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify and address safety hazards or maintenance needs Setup/build foundations for memorial markers and grave sites in accordance with cemetery standards Support overall site cleanliness by removing debris, trash, and ensuring pathways are clear and accessible Experience Prior experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Experience using hand tools, power tools, mixing concrete and lawn equipment such as mowers, trimmers, shovels, rakes. Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
