Job Description

Mathnasium of Farmington is seeking an exceptional Center Director. This remarkable individual will have overall responsibility for running the Learning Center, including; marketing, sales, center operations, tutoring management and scheduling, parent communication, and overall management.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of center, educational quality, student retention, and community outreach.
  • Manage the quality of the educational process to ensure students achieve strong results in their math class grades and parents become evangelists for the Learning Center and the Mathnasium Method.
Develop and review all student learning plans and update as appropriate. Ensure regular, accurate, and informative progress reports are given to parents. Perform regular Parent Touches and respond to feedback from parents and students. Coordinate efforts with students' teachers and regular test preparation for students as often as possible. Coordinate with Lead Instructors to ensure quality instruction.
  • Manage instructor's performance and training.
Ensure instructors are hired to the highest standards and are outstanding at tutoring children. Develop weekly work schedules. Manage staffing levels to achieve high quality teaching but that is cost effective. Maintaining a student to instructor ratio around 4:1. Provide regular performance feedback to all instructors. Manage corrective action plans as needed for underperforming instructors.
  • Manage the growth in student enrollment Sales with walk-in leads, phone calls, renewals.
Develop a solid sales approach to help parents understand our program and the unique methods/curriculum we have to help their children catch up, keep up, and excel in math. Help with initial assessments/sales process. Spearhead all trial sessions and ensure highest quality session. Administer all post-assessments and subsequent pre-assessments. The Center Director will have responsibility for overall management of the Learning Center. Training for any Mathnasium specific teaching will be given for this fun and rewarding position. This position will be filled by someone who has the following qualifications and requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, or working towards a Bachelor's degree.
  • Exceptional leadership, management, and operations experience.
  • Passion for working with kids, and experience working both with kids and communicating effectively with parents.
  • Excellent communication skills, effective time management skills, and driven and detail oriented.
  • Strong delegating and performance management skills.
  • Superb organizational skills, able to multi-task effective and work towards deadlines.
  • Possess exemplary character and have strong leadership presence.
  • A passion for math or learning is ideal. A working knowledge through ACT level Math (Algebra 1, High School Geometry, and beginning Algebra 2) is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous Mathnasium experience desirable but not necessary.

Compensation Plan:
  • Total Compensation:
    $42,000
  • $52,000/year (Base Salary + Monthly Bonus)
  • Bonus Structure
  • bonuses based on new enrollment growth & meeting key business metrics

    Monday
  • Thursday 12-8pm and Saturday 10am
  • 2pm•
