Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Central Sterile Supply Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in York, ME. Key Responsibilities Process and sterilize all operating room (OR) and departmental instrumentation according to established protocols. Clean, test, and maintain sterilizers daily to ensure proper function. Assemble pre-packaged instruments for specific procedures and surgeries. Prepare and set up case carts for OR procedures. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety, and infection control standards. Assist in inventory management and proper storage of sterile supplies. Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure timely availability of instruments. Follow proper documentation procedures and report any equipment malfunctions. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of sterile processing or central supply experience preferred. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CST) preferred. Knowledge of surgical instruments and hospital sterilization procedures preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Ability to work flexible shifts and occasional on-call assignments. Compliance with state-mandated influenza vaccination (medical exemptions only). Strong teamwork and communication skills.
