CENTRIFUGE SERVICE TECHNICIAN - DAIRY/MANURE INDUSTRY APPLY ONLINE INDEED.COM
Provide onsite services on centrifuge equipment.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
The Service Technician is responsible for overseeing the mechanical and electrical processes The Service Technician installs, calibrates, services, repairs and applies knowledge and experience to troubleshooting situations The Service Technician is a resource to the Solids Control Technicians, troubleshooting, installations While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day Collects samples and makes routine and more complex chemical and physical tests monitoring for changing conditions Logs test results, meter and feed readings, flow rates, maintenance and other data; prepares daily and periodic reports Inspects pumps, motors, chemical feeders, level controls and other equipment to ensure proper operations; makes adjustments and emergency repairs on plant equipment as needed correct equipment problems including dryings, centrifuges, vacuums, screw conveyors and pumps Troubleshoots equipment issues, performs equipment maintenance and orders equipment and supplies Qualifications MUST have a valid Driver's License & clean driving record Must have the ability to effectively and efficiently run, repair, maintain, service, equipment Able and willing to work outside in extreme weather conditions for up to 12 or more hours per day Ability to troubleshoot and repairs electrical issues Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures Skilled in equipment installations Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Strong attentions to detail and the ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment Possessing a valid driver's license and maintaining a good driving record is a requirement Ability to travel to various service locations Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus

Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
