Certified Forklift Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to manage materials handling and warehouse distribution tasks. Your expertise will ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations, accurate order picking, and proper inventory management within a fast-paced environment. Duties Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse Execute order picking with precision using various equipment to fulfill customer orders efficiently Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure optimal operation Manage warehouse inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring accurate stock levels and proper storage practices Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing materials for timely dispatch and delivery Follow OSHA safety standards diligently during all operations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting Knowledge of materials handling techniques including heavy lifting, load & unload procedures, shipping & receiving protocols Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order picking methods using specialized equipment like pickers Ability to adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations while operating machinery and handling materials Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and warehouse supervisors effectively Join our team as a Certified Forklift Operator if you're passionate about maintaining safety standards while keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly.
