In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist with medical procedures across various specialties including dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient interactions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact patient outcomes and overall healthcare experience. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Assist physicians with clinical tasks such as administering medications, drawing blood, and preparing patients for examinations or procedures. Support diagnostic processes by operating equipment like X-ray machines or assisting with basic laboratory tests. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately to document patient encounters, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment plans. Provide patient education on medication administration, post-procedure care, and health maintenance strategies. Support inpatient and outpatient care by coordinating appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols in hospital or clinic settings. Assist in emergency medicine scenarios within Level I or Level II trauma centers by providing vital support during urgent situations. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical practices across various specialties including geriatrics, internal medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and OR (Operating Room) environments. Experience working in hospital medicine settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers with familiarity in inpatient care protocols. Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation and ICD coding to ensure accurate billing and recordkeeping. Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately and efficiently in both outpatient clinics and inpatient units. Knowledge of medication administration procedures adhering to safety standards; experience supporting emergency medicine situations is a plus. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatric patients or those requiring urgent care. Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in X-ray operation or specific clinical procedures are advantageous.
