Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff Documents appropriately and accurately all patient care services in electronic medical records system (EMR) Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures Escort patients to exam rooms
Qualifications:
Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program and be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). High school graduate, GED or equivalent. Strong phlebotomy skills. Basic computer skills with minimum 45 wpm typing proficiency and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in all computer systems of AMA Medical Group within 90 days of hire, required 1 year previous experience in a primary care/outpatient clinic setting Possess a current CPR certificate or ability to obtain within 90 (ninety) days of employment. Familiarity with medical billing procedures Ability to multitask in a high paced environment with good organizational skills and attention to detail while maintaining the ability to prioritize. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and all levels of personnel in a professional, courteous and effective manner with proficient customer service skills. Strong organizational skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently. Bilingual in Spanish a plus

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
