Job Description

With a long history of innovation and dedication to the wellbeing of children in our community, the 24 providers across three locations are committed to continuing our mission to provide the highest quality pediatric primary care in a compassionate and supportive environment. Greenwood Pediatrics is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate certified medical assistants to be a part of our team of 11 physicians and 13 advanced practice providers at our locations in Centennial, Littleton and Parker. This opportunity is full-time (5 days per week, plus one Saturday per month and others as needed).
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Assist patients to exam rooms and perform preliminary duties such as obtaining vital signs, health history to identify chief complaint, and perform any required testing and screening.
  • Efficiently maintain patient flow in accordance with provider's schedule and time demands.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Complete tasks in Epic EHR by reviewing, following up, and completing assigned duties.
  • Perform clinical duties within certified medical assistance scope.
  • Assist providers during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
  • Accurately and efficiently chart patient information in Epic EHR.
  • Provide comprehensive, age-appropriate care to patients
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and front office staff to promote a cohesive team environment.
  • Assist with answering incoming calls during peak hours and in down time as able.
  • Work together with the patient and family to best promote healthful practices and disease prevention.
  • Seek supervision and consultation when needed.
  • Act as an advocate for patients and families.
  • Complete pharmacy refill requests, clinical forms and other tasks as assigned.
  • Arrange for outside lab work, testing, radiology, hospital admissions and referrals.
  • Follow up with patients regarding labs, test results and other patient/parent communication.
  • Complete end of day responsibilities, including all EHR orders and end of day check list.
  • Stock exam rooms and clinical areas with necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of exam rooms and work areas.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and clinical skills by attending in-services, required meetings, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Participate in committees as requested.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned Qualifications Proficient in medical administrative support and EHR systems, particularly Epic Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Experience in patient care, including vital signs and phlebotomy Basic life support certification required Familiarity with pediatric care Ability to provide excellent patient service
