Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure smooth administrative workflows in Primary Care Medicine, Minor urgent care as an outpatient clinic. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients while assisting healthcare providers with essential clinical tasks. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support diagnosis and treatment plans. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support clinical procedures such as administering medications under supervision, & assisting with minor surgical procedures in outpatient settings. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient information, updating records, and coding diagnoses using ICD 10 codes. Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, verifying insurance information, collecting Copays and managing documentation related to ICD coding and billing. Support emergency medicine scenarios at Level I or Level II trauma centers by assisting with triage, vital sign monitoring, and emergency procedures such as Basic Life Support (BLS). Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols in outpatient clinic settings. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Proven experience working in primary care, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration is essential. Experience with EHR systems and proficiency in documentation practices are necessary for efficient workflow management. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or advanced clinical skills are a plus. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
