Req #: 70265 Full-time, Day shift 3 12-hour shifts Weekends Required For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA): 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,000 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. •Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible for bonus; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.•

Unit Bio:
Bean 5/IMC/AVU is a high-paced 34-bed medical intermediate care unit. Patient population is vast and includes specialties of acute on chronic states, respiratory failure, complex vascular, general surgical and neuroscience conditions, sepsis and multisystem organ failure. Constant assessment, coordination and interventions are essential. Within the Assisted Ventilation Unit (AVU) patients may require mechanical ventilation in chronic or weaning states; vasoactive medications and frequent assessments and interventions are required.Summary:
Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required. The Certified Nursing Assistant II role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): 1.Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred. 2.License/Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3.Experience:
One year of relevant experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role. 4.Additional Skills/Requirements Required:
