We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care during the night shift from 11 P.M. to 7 A.M. This vital role involves supporting residents and patients with their daily needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various care settings, including long-term care, hospitals, assisted living, and specialized units such as ICU or memory care. Your expertise will contribute significantly to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to all safety and compliance standards. Duties Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Observe and report changes in patient conditions promptly to nursing staff or physicians, especially in critical care or trauma settings like Level I or Level II trauma centers. Maintain a safe environment by following aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound management; assist with infection control protocols for infectious disease care. Provide emotional support and compassionate caregiving to individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health considerations. Operate medical equipment safely, including oxygen delivery devices and Hoyer lifts; assist with transfers for patients requiring assistance with mobility or post-acute care needs. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical documentation systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech to ensure accurate medical records management. Experience Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient data management. Experience providing specialized care for populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities, or behavioral health patients is preferred.
