Job Description

Company Overview Tabor Manor Care Center is a family-owned skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a homelike environment. With 50 years of service to the community, we prioritize personalized attention and rehabilitation services that promote dignity and comfort for our residents. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience across various healthcare settings including long-term care, hospitals, and assisted living facilities. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care, supporting residents' daily needs, and ensuring their safety and well-being through attentive caregiving and medical assistance. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or memory impairments, including Alzheimer's and behavioral health management. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to individual needs across diverse settings such as acute care, long-term care, hospice, or pediatric environments. Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper hand hygiene and using personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized. Support emergency response efforts in high-acuity environments like Level I Trauma Centers or ICU units by applying basic life support skills. Experience Prior experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly desirable. Experience with Epic EMR systems or other electronic health record platforms is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques is essential for effective patient care. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your suitability for this role. Previous exposure to specialized areas such as geriatrics, behavioral health, ICU environments, or post-acute care will strengthen your application. Certification in basic life support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in dementia or Alzheimer's care are advantageous. Join our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents through compassionate caregiving and professional excellence!
