Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting K-12 students on a full-time contract assignment! This school-based opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and dedicated COTA eager to foster student growth and independence in an educational setting. Your expertise will empower students across grade levels, from kindergarten through high school, to succeed in their academic and everyday activities. Collaboration will be at the heart of your work—working alongside occupational therapists, educators, and families to provide holistic support for each child's unique needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility) Prior experience in school or pediatric settings preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities Adaptability to work with varied student populations and age groupsKey Responsibilities:
Implement individualized intervention plans designed by Occupational Therapists Deliver direct therapy services to students, supporting them in developing essential skills for school participation Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to help integrate interventions into the classroom and daily routines Collect and document student progress data, adjusting activities as needed Participate in student support meetings, contributing insights on student progress and goals Maintain accurate therapy records and comply with all reporting requirements Benefits of thisOpportunity:
