Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity dedicated to supporting student success through expert psychological services. This contract position calls for a dedicated School Psychologist skilled in assessments, IEPs, and student evaluations, to serve across multiple sites in a vibrant district setting. In this role, you'll work onsite, directly impacting students' educational experiences and contributing to a collaborative, district-wide team.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program. Valid School Psychologist license/certification for the state of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain). Proficiency conducting psychological and educational assessments, including cognitive, academic, adaptive, and behavioral evaluations. Experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Strong knowledge of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and best practices for school-based services. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred through the special education process. Develop, write, and participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on student social, behavioral, and academic needs. Deliver data-driven recommendations to teams and families that guide educational planning. Support district-wide initiatives through collaboration, consultation, and in-services as needed. Maintain thorough, organized documentation in compliance with local and federal guidelines. Serve as a proactive, positive force in cultivating a supportive and equitable educational environment.
