Job Description
Job Summary A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides school-based therapy services to students from preschool through 12th grade under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on supporting student development in fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students (PreK-12) under OT supervision Assist in implementing IEP goals and individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student success Complete required documentation , including: Progress notes Data collection Support for IEP updates and reviews Participate in IEP meetings as needed Support student development in areas such as: Fine motor skills Sensory integration Activities of daily living (ADLs) Travel between school locations during the school day (between assigned districts)Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active Pennsylvania COTA License Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potentialBenefits:
